Liver Bird - John Culshaw

Great George Place

Muralist John Culshaw's depiction of a Liver Bird, the emblem of the city of Liverpool, blankets one side of the Wedding House building near the Anglican Cathedral. This interpretation of the liver bird is inspired by an African bird of prey called a Secretary Bird.

Face Mural - Liam Bononi

Great George Place

Brazilian artist Liam Bononi's portrait of one of his close friends, adorns the opposing side of the Wedding House building to John Culshaw's Liver Bird. The image symbolises how people may attempt to rebuild themselves as a better person.

All You Need is Love

Greenland Street

Artist Dave Bonzai painted this mural on the Liverpool Life Sciences UTC building. The piece presents the lyrics of a classic Beatles song in Dave's signature style, and was created as part of the Contrast Mural Festival in 2018.

Wings - Paul Curtis

Jamaica Street

'For all Liverpool's Liverbirds', known locally as Wings, is perhaps one of the most famous murals in Liverpool. Local artist Paul Curtis painted the wings in 2017 and ever since, the piece has been an essential photo op for scousers and visitors alike. Paul offers prints on his website, linked below.
